Started setting ups meetings to start design of Dragon 4 and to start machining out components for steering. We are having Alumni members coming back to visit us and help us out with the project and keep up with the other cars making sure they are in running conditions.

Hello! It's been a while since we have updated the website. Results for the race can be seen on the Solar Car Challenge web page. I will be updating the website throughout the month. Happy Holidays!
We are a month away from the Solar Challenge race. Wow! We are working diligently on finishing our project!
Unfortunately, we were not able to go to the Electrathon race, but we are working hard for the Solar Car Challenge. We are getting a donation of solar panels. Thank you CAM Solar!!!
The weather has been tough these past days with expected cold fronts cancelling some meetings, but that's not stopping us from finishing the car. The assembly of Dragon's 3 frame is almost complete. Work on Dragon 2's steering needed a touch up with its threading. The Electrathon race is next month and preparations are beginning soon.
It's crunch time! We are building a solar-electric passenger car for the Solar Car Challenge in July. 2015 is going to a productive year!
The SWET website is currently under construction, I will be making new modifications and adding more media soon. Thanks!
As we move into April the nerves begin to rise with only 9 working days left. Not only is our nerves rising but so is our confidence. With a year of competing under our belts we are as spirited and determined as ever to take Eragon 300 and our newest Electrathon vehicle to the Emerald Coast Electrathon in Pensacola, Florida. The competition is held on April 27th and lasts throughout the day. Throughout the next 9 days we will be working extra hard and staying late hours in the shop to make final touch ups and prepare for the long awaited trip. Without the help of some of our newest members and supportive sponsors we wouldn't be able to achieve so much.
This week has been a challenging one for the SWET Mechanical Team rebuilt and finished repairing Eragon 300. The Mechanical Team has also finished building the internal mock up frame with the wood. Our team has also paired up with the Welding Shop here from Southwest to get our wood chassis fabricated into a metal chassis for the big competition. The biggest challange the team had to overcome was learning how to use the mechanical tools properly. The Electrical Team has been busy and are now working on a paper schematic of the electrical layout on not only one, but both cars which has been a big learning curve for them. The Public Realations Team has also been hard at work preparing the presentation for St. Phillips Collage, as well as writing parent letters, and a letter to Simpson Company.
